Duncan Stratton & Co, Bombay, with an Indian tiger in centre. Extremely Fine, Very Rare. Trial pieces for machinery trials made by Greenwood & Batley Ltd of Leeds, England; with Duncan Stratton & Co. Bombay, their Indian agents. These tokens were used as advertisements to promote their own minting machinery. Pridmore refers to this company and their role on page 73 in Volume 2. Greenwood & Batley provided minting machinery to the Imperial Indian mints and also to Hyderabad. Very Fine, Very Scarce.
